First, its a new year and Pleasants Publishing is still here! Happy New Year and in the same breath Happy Valentine’s Day!
I’m so in love with the month of February and all it has to offer as we delve deeper into 2016! There’s so much to love about this month I don’t know where to begin. If you are a magazine fanatic like me then I know you picked up the February editions of both Essence and Ebony magazines.
A major shout out and kudos to the editorial staff at both magazines who delivered a deliciously layered loving tribute to the beauty and love of black people, culture and most important… Black Love. Thank you for this symbolic ode to blackness!
Another reason I love February is because it’s Black History Month! Yasss! Any opportunity to celebrate and learn about our history and contributions to society is right up my alley. Mind you I’m no historian but I do have an inquisitive mind curious nature that drives my desire to learn. I’ve used this motivation to create “fyi” the next book for release later this month.
You can expect to read about my personal historical findings throughout my journey in life and use the information within to pursue your own investigation. I’m very excited about the content in the book and I can’t wait to share that with you all!
Another reason I’m loving February is because of the growth Pleasants Publishing is experiencing. Lastly, why do I love February? The huge assortment of candies, sweets and chocolates! I hope you’re enjoying February as much or more than I am! If not, come up with a list of great things to make your month great. There’s a ton of inspiration in Ebony and Essence! Remember love feels good. You should feel good because you are loved!
